Facts checked on 5 November 2026 against each maker’s own website.

If you searched “is Wispr Flow free” or “Wispr Flow cost”, here are the answers from Wispr Flow’s own website, read on 5 November 2026. Prices change, so check wisprflow.ai/pricing before you pay.

Is Wispr Flow free?

Yes, it has a free plan, and it does not need a card. The number to know depends on where you read it:

  • Homepage: 2,000 words a week.
  • Pricing page: it says only “limited words per week”.
  • Help centre: on desktop, the app warns you at 2,000 words and blocks you only above 5,000 words a week. On iPhone it blocks at 750 words, and on Android it caps at 3,000.

So on a computer the free plan is looser than the homepage suggests. We are reporting what the pages say. We have not tested where the block really falls.

Wispr Flow cost: every plan

Plan Price (5 November 2026) What the pricing page lists
Free $0, no card Limited words per week
Pro $15 a user a month, or $12 a month billed yearly ($144 a year) Command Mode (editing by voice) needs a paid or trial account. The page also lists a dictionary and snippets
Growth From $23 a month, or from $18 a month billed yearly The page lists single sign-on (SSO) and organisation-wide HIPAA enforcement
Enterprise Custom Contact Wispr Flow

Other things we saw on its website:

  • It runs on Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android.
  • It lists 100 or more languages.
  • Command Mode, which edits text by voice, works on Mac and Windows for paid or trial accounts only. Free accounts cannot use it.
  • It lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and HIPAA, and says you can opt out of model training.

A year on Pro is $144 if you pay yearly, or $180 if you pay month to month (12 times $15, our arithmetic).

Does Wispr Flow have a free trial?

The pricing page mentions none. The help centre says creating or joining a team gives 14 days of Pro with no card. One help article also calls 14 days “the standard trial”, but the team FAQ does not say a single user gets one. If you want a trial, ask Wispr Flow or look at its sign-up screen.

Wispr Flow review: what we can and cannot say

We make Talkativ, a rival, and we have not reviewed Wispr Flow. So there is no verdict here, only facts. What its website supports:

  • It is available on more devices than Talkativ, including iPhone and Android.
  • It lists security certificates that Talkativ does not claim.
  • Its Pro price is higher than Talkativ’s.

Where Talkativ’s prices sit

Plan Talkativ price
Free 2,200 words a week, reset every 7 days, no card
Pro $7 a month or $56 a year
Max $11 a month or $88 a year, with Genius Mode and Smart Edits

The yearly plans give you 4 months free. On the yearly plan, Pro works out at less than $5 a month. Compared with Wispr Flow Pro at $144 a year, Talkativ Pro is $88 a year less and Talkativ Max is $56 a year less. Max is the closer match, because Genius Mode, which changes highlighted text when you say what you want, is the Talkativ feature nearest to Command Mode.

You can also start a 7-day Max trial inside the app, with no card, and you drop to Free when it ends. Upgrading, billing and cancelling all happen inside the app. See all Talkativ plans or the free plan.

Press Ctrl + Space on Windows, ⌥ Option + Space on a Mac to start, talk, and press again to stop. It is press to start and press to stop, not hold to talk, and the shortcut keys are fixed.

What Talkativ does not do

Talkativ has no phone app, does not work offline, does not transcribe audio files, and does not claim SOC 2 or HIPAA certificates. If any of those matter, Wispr Flow or another app on our Wispr Flow alternatives page may suit you better.

Talkativ is on Windows and Mac. Read about Talkativ on Windows and Talkativ on Mac. For more prices side by side, see Superwhisper vs Wispr Flow vs Talkativ and Wispr Flow vs Willow, Aqua and Typeless. Go back to the Talkativ home page.
