Aqua Voice vs Wispr Flow
Aqua Voice is the cheaper of the two: Pro at $10 a month on annual billing against $12 for Wispr Flow, and its free plan is 1,000 words against Wispr Flow’s 2,000 a week. Aqua’s higher plan, Max, adds Realtime Mode and voice commands. Aqua lists Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, like Wispr Flow. Its homepage says it understands 49 languages. Aqua says an optional Privacy Mode stores nothing on its servers, and lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
Typeless vs Wispr Flow
On yearly billing the two cost the same, $12 a month. Pay month to month and Typeless is $30 against Wispr Flow’s $15. Typeless adds a Linux app, says it keeps no data in the cloud, and says your history stays on your device. Its free plan is “limited words” without a number, so check it before you rely on it.
Wispr Flow vs Willow
Willow and Wispr Flow charge the same: $15 a month, $12 a month on annual billing. The difference is in the free plan and in privacy. Willow’s free plan is unlimited use of a lighter model plus 20 uses a week of a feature it calls Scribe. Willow says it keeps no audio after transcription by default. Wispr Flow lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and HIPAA on its homepage. Willow’s Business plan lists SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA.
Spokenly, Monologue and Handy vs Wispr Flow
People also compare Wispr Flow with three smaller apps. In one line each, from their own pages on 5 November 2026:
- Spokenly is free with its local models (no word cap, no account), $29 once for Local+, or $12 a month billed $144 a year for Pro. It says it works offline with local models.
- Monologue is for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, with no Windows app. Pro is $15 a month or $144 a year.
- Handy is free and open source (MIT licence), works offline, and runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, according to its GitHub page.
Where Talkativ fits
Talkativ is not in the same price band as these four: Pro is $7 a month or $56 a year, and Max is $11 a month or $88 a year with Genius Mode and Smart Edits. Compared with the yearly prices above, that is $64 less than Aqua Pro, $88 less than Wispr Flow, Willow or Typeless Pro on their yearly plans. The Free plan is 2,200 words a week with no card, and you can try Max for 7 days with no card, started inside the app. See all Talkativ plans and the free plan.
Choose one of the others if…
- You need a phone app. Wispr Flow, Aqua Voice and Typeless list iPhone and Android apps. Willow lists iPhone, with Android coming soon.
- You need company security paperwork. Wispr Flow, Willow (Business), Aqua and Typeless (Enterprise) each list some. Check the exact wording on their sites.
- You need Linux. Typeless lists it, and so does Handy.
- You need to dictate with no internet. Willow, Spokenly and Handy say they work offline; Talkativ does not.
- You want voice commands on the top plan. Aqua’s Max lists them.
Choose Talkativ if…
- the yearly price is the deciding factor
- you want a clear weekly free limit and no card
- you work on a Windows or Mac computer and want one shortcut in every app
- you want to rewrite highlighted text by voice for $11 a month (Genius Mode, on Max)
Press Ctrl + Space on Windows, ⌥ Option + Space on a Mac to start, talk, and press again to stop. It is press to start and press to stop, not hold to talk, and the shortcut keys are fixed.
What Talkativ does not do
Talkativ has no phone app. It does not work offline. It does not transcribe audio files. It does not claim SOC 2 or HIPAA certificates. The shortcuts cannot be changed. If you need any of those, pick one of the others, or see Superwhisper vs Wispr Flow vs Talkativ for an offline option.
